1. Creative Call
We’ll talk all about your work, your clients, your values, and your voice—and we’ll make sure your current messaging is doing what it’s supposed to do. If it needs tweaking, we’ll talk through an updated messaging strategy.
2. First Draft
You’ll receive a recording of our call, plus my notes and ideas around how to structure your writing, often with timestamps so you can refer back to that brilliant thing you said.
You’ll have up to 30 days* to send me your (weird, rambly, tangent-riddled) first draft. I’ll be here for questions and support in the meantime in case you get stuck.

3. Edits!
Give me a week, and I will spin your original language into writing that glows with energy, vibrates off the page, improves conversions… all while sounding just like you.
You’ll also receive an Editorial Letter lays that out what I did and why, along with some input on what's working in your writing, how to improve it in the future, and all the dumb copywriting advice you get to ignore.

4. Party on, Wayne

Hi. I’m Sam.
I’m a writing coach and editor with over a decade of experience in copywriting and online marketing strategy. I’ve been a bartender, a barista, a personal trainer, a park maintenance worker, and the stoner running the antique photo booth at Six Flags.✌🏽
And for the past ten years, I’ve been making people money with the words I write. I’ve done things like triple someone’s email open rates; generate $75k from a few thoughtful tweaks to a one-off popup offer; single-handedly build a Black Friday campaign worth $54k; and get into many arguments about the ethics of a proposed marketing tactic.

I take on Remix clients all year round, on a staggered schedule. You can usually get on my calendar within two weeks.

You need a clear offer and/or project, like a launch for your group program; updated website copy; a welcome sequence for your email list, etc. If you have an untested idea, that’s okay (a Remix actually makes way more sense than outsourcing altogether) but you should still have something in mind.
Other than that—I will need whatever content we’re working on to live in Google Drive. Usually, you can copy and paste everything existing web copy you need directly into a Doc; you might need to fiddle with the formatting once you do this, although I’ll fix the formatting during the editing process.
Here are some additional Google Doc pointers:
An email sequence can go on a single doc—no need to create separate docs for each email. You can use tabs or header tags to separate them out.
For website copy, use a single doc with a different tab for each page.
For sales funnels: landing page copy in one tab; emails in another.
If this is for a live launch…
If we’re looking at previous launch content, it will be helpful to have some performance metrics so we know what worked, what didn’t, and what we still don’t know.

Yes! While projects like a live launch work better at a fixed rate, if you’re regularly publishing long-form content, having an editor in your back pocket is a super smart strategy.
I always like to start with a smaller project to give you a sense of how ongoing work would feel. Contact me to start the conversation!

You’ll need to be availalbe for your initial Creative Call (about 60–90m), plus the time it will take you to write a messy first draft based on that conversation.
Once you get your edits back—no homework. It’s done. All you have to do is build the page, stage the email, publish the blog post, etc.

First of all, your writing is better than you think, I promise. I’ve been working as an editor and copywriter for the better part of a decade, and I’ve never once seen a piece of writing that didn’t have flecks of gold running through it.
But also, it’s my job to support and celebrate your writing, tease out those flecks of gold and make ‘em shimmer—not look for mistakes or grammar-shame you.

If your DIY efforts (i.e. all those templates and formulas and copywriting best practices) feel forced, strange, or inauthentic to you—and/or your copy isn’t performing as well as you’d like it to, then yeah, you do need this.
If your copy is selling, and it’s selling to the people you want to be working with, and you’re happy with it, then no, you don’t need me, UNLESS you just want to pass on your shitty first draft and have it magically become an amazing piece of content. If that’s what you’re dreaming of, then yes—I’m your huckleberry.
